![]() ![]() I don't even know who I'm fighting until I get to the boss room, then there's a short cutscene, an easy battle against a boss that only has a few attacks, and they're gone. Unlike the first game, none of them were announced, which is a small but significant step in making each of them forgettable. Really good, kind of repetitive, but the bosses were surprisingly undercooked, in more ways than one. What about Travis's issues with Sylvia and the UAA? That seemed to be resolved off-screen somewhere in the epilogue, but I would have liked to know what happened. In the end, I don't even really know what the main conflict was. Or why Shinobu suddenly has a big thing for Travis, but that whole thread is left dangling for the rest of the game (where did she go, why was she fighting, what was her problem with Sylvia, why were other fighters even allowed to fight on Travis's behalf). ![]() Why does everyone suddenly keep calling Travis the "No More Hero" in the last 1 hour of the game? But before that, we have to talk about why Henry has a random gameplay segment for one boss fight before he disappears. One minute Sylvia's gunning people down, the next minute she's cool. One minute Travis is pissed, next minute he's not. In fact, I'm a fan of Suda51's games in general, and I don't remember any of them being quite this random in terms of character motivations and central plotlines. My memory of No More Heroes 1 is kind of fuzzy at this point, but I don't remember everything being quite this random. I bought NMH 3 recently, but I forgot I hadn't finished any of the other games besides 1, so I went back to finish 2 (the original Wii version).
